Transitional Shelter

At Winnipeg Centre of Hope, we believe everyone deserves dignity, stability, and hope. Our transitional rooms offers more than just a roof—it’s a supportive environment where individuals can take meaningful steps toward rebuilding their lives. Through personalized support, compassionate care, and access to essential services, we walk alongside each person on their journey toward permanent housing and renewed independence.

Tailored Spaces for Individual Comfort and Safety

  • Female-Identifying Guests
Two floors are exclusively designated for female-identifying individuals, with a private elevator for added comfort and security. Some floors offer increased independence, while others include shared community space. On average, we provide space for 70 women at a time.

  • Male-Identifying Guests
Four floors are dedicated to male-identifying individuals, accessible through a separate elevator. As with the women’s floors, some are designed for independent living, while others foster a more communal atmosphere. We offer space for approximately 118 men.

  • Non-Binary and Gender-Diverse Guests
All guests are supported with dignity and autonomy. Non-binary and gender-diverse individuals are welcome to choose the floor they feel most comfortable on, with access to a private, gender-neutral washroom located conveniently on their floor.

In times of increased community need, the Centre of Hope can expand capacity to accommodate more guests.
