TRANSITIONAL

Transitional Shelter: (Length of Stay is 18 months)​

Female Identified individuals are provided with two exclusive floors, and their own elevator specifically for Female identified participants. Some floors are designed for independence, and some have a community atmosphere kitchen area on the floor. There are on average 70 female identified spaces available for the community, at the Centre of Hope. The Salvation Army, Centre of Hope can make even more space available when there are needs within the community.

Male Identified individuals are provided with four exclusive floors, and their own elevator specifically for male identified participants. Some floors are designed for independence, and some have a community atmosphere kitchen area. There are on average 118 male identified spaces available for the community, at the Centre of Hope. The Salvation Army, Centre of Hope can make even more space available when there are needs within the community.

Transitional Shelter includes:

  • Participant Rights and Responsibilities
  • Floor checks and room checks are provided, to ensure safely and security.
  • Case Worker Services: goal setting and exit planning.​
  • Private rooms and your own room-key​
  • Mattress on a bedframe and bedding​
  • Every room has a window.​
  • Each room has its own thermos stat and smoke detector.​
  • Weekly housekeeping services​
  • Spiritual Care Team (when requested)​
  • Free laundry facilities and laundry soup provided.​
  • 3 meals a day​
  • Shared and Private Bathrooms for accessibility​
  • Personal hygiene items are also made available for free.​
  • Pay phones are on each floor.​
